Although this breeding was mostly to freshen the dam, I have been pleasantly surprised at the quality of the kids. They are already displaying very correct toplines - a trait that I've been trying to recapture from my original doe. "Lil T" is oh SOOO dairy. I haven't been able to feel 'flat ribs' until I put my hands on this doe. She looking like a miniature of grandma Kalakala with more width throughout and depth in the heart girth, and every time I pick out a significant fault, she grows out of it in a month or two. She will be a very slow-to-mature doe, so she's gonna be one of the "fine wine" does and will look very leggy and tubey until she reaches at least 4 years old. Sister "Mika" got the Saada strength, and has an unbelievably flat, level rump (and my does' rumps flatten over 4-5 years!) and looking to be a mini-me of her maternal grandma Noki with a better rump angle. Her shoulders seem a tad loose down by the elbows, so we'll see how she matures. I cannot tell anything about her escutcheon...she got Grandma Kalakala's hair pattern, which means no hair patterns telling you the height and width of the rear udder...I guess she just wants to surprise me. Can't wait to clip these girls up and see how they look as yearlings.
Confirmed Breeding (Lil T): DKGH Gado Rootbeer's Rebel

Confirmed Breeding (Mika): My-Enchanted-Acres SonsetRoman
